Spring conference was amazing!  Though I have been to many many JV  conferences, this was my first Spring conference.  One of the great things was being able to see many of the families and singles in JV that I have not seen for over a year.  Many new people that I met at missions training last year just arrived on the field before the conference, so this was the first time to see them.  The theme of this year was found by your father. The conference was about God as the perfect father and how are earthly fathers, though they may try, do not live up to God the father. The purpose of the teaching was that we would grow closer to God as our father and to realize that the areas our Fathers fell short were areas that pointed us to our perfect Father in Heaven. It was interesting to have my father with me during the week. It was great for us to discuss this topic and to discover the areas in our lives that we needed to give to the father-ship of God. This week was also a great time to see the community of JV. There were babies to 75 year olds. People who had been here in Europe for 20 years and people who moved the day before conference.
