Four guys, Two towns, one mountain and a Broken Hand

Today I had my arm brace taken off and I am able to begin physical therapy.  I have been wondering through this whole experience what God has been trying to teach me.  Well there are a number of things I have been learning. 1. Sheep follow the shepherd because they know his voice.  How can we expect to hear the Holy Spirit if we do not recognize his voice.  How can we recognize God’s voice? By reading His Word.  Therefore if I want to hear God speak I must know his voice, so I must be in His Word more and more.  2. When we share the Gospel we must challenge people to a decision as Christ did or we are waisting our time.  3. God’s plan is perfect.  Let me tell you a story that involves Four guys, Two towns, one mountain and a Broken Hand.

Three years ago I was living here for three months trying to decide whether this was where God was calling me.  During a trip to the town of Levice we stopped in a town called Banska Bystrica and had lunch.  I remember sitting there and saying that I wished I could climb the mountain across the street.  We did not have time.  We then went on to Levice where we did camp.  In Levice I met two guys one atheist and one young leader who was afraid to lead.  God laid on my heart to disciple Rasto the young leader.  He also laid on my heart to build a relationship with Miso, the atheist boy.  I began to do this.  In a second town He did the same with a leader named David and a boy named Miro.  This task has been a lot of work, but let’s skip ahead three years to the present.  I now live in Banska Bystrica, I often climb the mountain I saw that day and pray for the young people of Banska.  The two young leaders are now the leaders of their teams and are discipling others the same way I discipled them.  I live with Rasto, who goes to school during the week in my Banska Bystrica.  Miro (the boy from the second town) also studies here. He is on the verge of following Christ and prays often for God to help him.  Finally this weekend I met Miso after two years and as we talked God laid it on my heart to talk to Him about Jesus.  His biggest problem was with religion.  I shared that Jesus was against religion too.  I then had the opportunity to share the gospel with him and he decided to put his faith in Christ!  I then found out that he will be coming to study in Banska Bystrica!  We will begin in the fall meeting every week.

It is so awesome to see how God has been moving!  I am so thankful for where He has me and for what He has called me too!  Let us look daily to God for his perfect plan.

John 10:27

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.
