Travels, Friends, and Interns

0

This weekend I had quite an adventure as I traveled towards Vienna to pick up our Fusion intern, Lacye.  On the way, I decided to stop in Levice where my friend Rasťo lives.   I had not seen him since he visited me in the States in January.  As you know he is my best friend here and a really great support for me in my ministry.  We  spent the weekend together encouraging each other and sharing about how life has been the last few months.  It was fun to recollect on some of the fun times we had while he visited in the U.S.  I am so thankful for a friend like him!

After this I decided to stay the night in Bratislava before going to pick up our intern in Vienna.  While I was there I met with my friend Robo.  Who I have written about before.  Please pray for him as he is still really seeking for something in his life, that God will become that something and that Robo will see it clearly.  While I was there I was also able to stay the night with my friend Tomas for two nights.  He is an old friend who I do not see that often.  He is a photographer for a newspaper and has been traveling quite often, even to Crimea in Ukraine.  It was very interesting to hear some of his stories, but also to be together and encourage one another.

I wrote in the last paragraph that I spent two nights with Tomas.  I was supposed to spend only one night with him as our intern should come on Monday.  On Sunday night I received a call from her that there was a problem with her ticket.  She was scheduled on the ticket to fly out of Fayetteville, North Carolina and not Fayetteville, Arkansas, which is where she lives.  After a couple of hours we were able to find her a new flight. Unfortunately she would arrive on Tuesday instead of Monday.  I am glad I was able to have that extra time with Tomas!  Finally she arrived safely with everything, Praise the Lord!
