As is our tradition, I invited the Polohas over for a small Christmas party. This year we also had two other guests, my room mate Roman and Suska Jones who is an American teaching at the school our church runs. This was such a blessed time to spend with one another, and to celebrate Christ’s birth. I asked the kids a couple days before what they would like to eat for dinner. I received 3 answers: Tacos, Pasta, and Cake. I decided to not do cake for dinner, but combined the other two and made Mexican Pasta bake.
After dinner we decided to make and decorate Christmas cookies. It was a lot of fun to see everyone’s creativity and their heart for others, everyone was decorating cookies for someone else. Afterwards the Poloha kids presented two songs for us. It was sweet to hear them sing and see how much work that they had put into it. I also enjoyed watching Draho as he accompanied them on guitar. He loves music and you can see the joy he has to see his children enjoy music. One of my favorite things to do at Christmas is to give gifts. It is such a joy for me, I love to find the perfect thing that the person would want but would never expect. This year with Roman and Suska joining us, I was able to extend the gift giving even further! What Fun! I am so thankful for these people! They make my life so much easier and really feel like family for me. Finally, we finished off the night watching Rudolf the Red nosed Reindeer and playing the game citadel.
