I was very blessed this Christmas to be able to fly home and spend time with my family for three weeks. I am so thankful that God gave me this time to treasure with my family and to see some old friends. I spent time traveling with my family to see relatives and to visit my brother’s girlfriend in Indianapolis. We spent time together playing games, drinking coffee and talking, going on walks, shopping, and watching NCIS. I was able to spend time with each family member individually and really invest in each relationship. Tim has decided a Grad school to go to and is pretty excited about the future. Becca is now working at a local hospital as a nurse and is involved in the start up of Bible Study fellowship young in Fort Wayne. Please pray for them both and where God is leading them, that they will have a big impact on those around them for Christ!
I also spent time on my own reading and praying. This was such a blessing to slow down and be able to process somethings in my life with God. After leaving last year, at the end of my Furlough, I was not sure when I would see my family again. It is really great how God surprises us sometimes with something unexpected which comes at just the perfect time. I have been going through something personally in my life recently that is very hard. In this, I loved how God had just the perfect time for me to get away for a while and rest in Him and be surrounded by the ones I love. As I have come back, this thing is still pressing on my mind, but I am trusting God, that He has a plan! Please if you can join me in praying for God’s peace and wisdom in my life right now as I move forward!
