This week, JV had their marriage conference for all the JV couples, in Krakow.  Mark and Amy Chase attended the conference so they asked me to stay in Bratislava with their sons, Ian and Gavin, who of course you know are two of my JV Kids.  I love these guys and every moment I get to spend with them. I have been able to see them grow into godly young men.  One of my favorite times during the week was going downtown to a cafe with them and just talking about life.  They have had some difficult things happen lately and some big decisions in front of them, so naturally we had a lot of things to process together.  Of course we also had fun, watched movies, and cooked together.  Please pray for these guys as they continue to seek God’s will in their lives!

Another joy from the Marriage conference, was that my Dad came to the conference as a counselor and speaker. After the conference ended, I went to Krakow to visit him.  Of course we love the outdoors so naturally, we went to the Tatry Mountains, in Poland, and hiked in the snow.  This is one of my many joys over here; when I am able to spend time with a visiting family member.  My Father, of course, is my hero and the man I look up to most in my life.  What a pleasure and gift from God to still be able to spend such valuable time with him.  I was actually just thinking back to when my dad’s health problems first started when I was a teenager.  We didn’t know what was wrong and I remember fearing my father would die.  How blessed I am that God has allowed him to continue in life and impact so many people including me!
