I have written many times about my guys, but they are really the joy of my ministry right now. These guys are growing in community and in the Lord. I have been challenging them into small leadership roles and they are succeeding in them. We are meeting not only once but multiple times in various ways throughout the week. I really feel that we have good community. This month we spent time studying the Bible together and learning how to understand the Old Testament. We also had times to go skiing and to do other fun activities. One of the highlights of this month, for the guys, was having a Star Wars marathon. They all brought snacks and we ordered Pizza. We moved my whole family room around and projected the movies on the wall. As you can see from the picture, we had lightsabers and of course had battles with them! These guys have so much potential and I am happy I get to be part of it. Here are somethings I have loved hearing from them. One guy said during small group, “Oh, I have no clue what to share, I have journaled so much about what I am learning, where do I start? Do we have enough time?” Another guy told me he is getting in trouble for being up too late, because he can’t stop reading the Bible. One of the guys was with a group of boys at school, who were up to no good, and one of his brothers from our group grabbed and said, “Come on, let’s go play soccer!” Way to have his buddies back! These guys are learning what it means to brothers in community, to fight for each other, and to share the gospel. Praise GOD!
