Christmas 2020 will always be remembered as a special one. Alica spent the last 6 Christmases in America so this was her first one in Slovakia in a while. Josh spent the last couple of Christmases with different JV families all over Central and Eastern Europe. The Covid restrictions got tighter right before Christmas and we were only able to invite 1 other family to spend Christmas with us. We were excited to have our first Christmas in Slovakia and Alica (with her mom) prepared a lot of traditional Christmas foods. It was a precious time together. After Christmas we were able to spend time with Alica’s brother and his family. It was a blessed time full of food, board games, walking around the city and enjoying family time. We are thankful to God for bringing two very different cultures together and for the blessing of being able to celebrate the birth of our Savior.
We are very thankful to hear how God blessed your Christmas season with Alicia’s family in Slovakia. We were also deeply blessed by God to be able to have four wonderful family gatherings during the Christmas holiday season. You are both in our prayers as you seek God’s path to continue your JV ministry during this COVID season we are in.
