This month in our youth group, we talked about war and what a Chrisitan’s response should be to fighting for their country. This arose as we thought about youth the same age in Ukraine being required to stay and fight. Should we or should we not, as believers, fight and kill others. It was a challenging theme and good for our students to fight through and figure out where they stand. Looking at people like Bonhoeffer and Corrie Tenboom, we explored how believers respond to crises. What does this mean for us? How do we live? I believe this war and helping refugees has made some of our students realize how much more active their faith should be.
